Gary Carter

Gary is su53 Solutions’ Director responsible for our people and their personal development, for resourcing, and for consulting methodology definition, as well as being one of the UK’s most experienced Compliance Architects. He has been closely involved in the development of SAP Security thinking for over 9 years, with wide experience across assignments from risk assessments to full SAP project lifecycles. The scope of his experience stretches across all aspects of core R/3, including HR and Payroll, as well BI, APO, and CRM. As a leading UK SAP Security Consultant, Gary has been involved in assignments from SOX compliance work to Authorisations Support, in industries as diverse as utilities to jewellers.

Having obtained a Business & Finance degree, Gary then focused totally on IT and its application to business, and, for the last decade, has specialised totally in SAP Security – in a range of organisations from a large PLC to both small and large consultancies. He has leadership experience of running a managed service operation, with responsibility for the team that provided operational support, role development, reporting and audit compliance for client SAP systems.

Gary brings a detailed, security minded and highly objective dimension to su53 Solutions’ business, exhibiting great passion for “doing security properly” as a mindset for all those involved. This consistent clarity of purpose is invaluable in helping clients achieve pragmatic risk management in their business. Gary lives is Caerphilly in Wales.
